The Sensex and the Nifty 50 traded marginally higher in afternoon trade. This came after a pullback in global equities. At 11:46 am, the BSE Sensex was up 0.091%. During the same time, the Nifty 50 was up 0.081%.
Broader markets traded higher. At 11:48 am, the Nifty Midcap 100 was up 0.05%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 was up 0.87% at the same time. Sectorally, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto, and the Nifty FMCG were under pressure, while the Nifty Realty underperformed.
