Auto-Parts Manufacturer Victura Technologies Weighs India IPO Of Up To $300 Million

Victura Technologies is exploring an India IPO of up to $300 million, potentially combining fresh shares and an offer for sale. The Faridabad-based auto-parts manufacturer is in early discussions with investment banks, amid growing investor interest in India’s auto-component sector.
Victura Technologies, the Faridabad-based auto-parts manufacturer formerly known as Victora Auto, is exploring a potential initial public offering (IPO) in India, according to a Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the matter.
The company has started preliminary discussions with investment banks and could appoint advisers shortly, the report said. The proposed IPO could raise as much as $300 million through a combination of fresh shares and an offer for sale by existing investors.
Victura IPO Plans Still At An Early Stage
The discussions are currently in the initial stages, and the size, structure and timing of the proposed issue could change, Bloomberg reported. The company has not yet made a formal announcement on the IPO plans.
If the plan moves ahead, Victura would be joining a growing list of auto-component companies looking at India's equity markets. German auto-parts maker Mahle is also considering a listing of its Indian business, while Webasto has been working towards a potential domestic listing, Bloomberg reported.
Auto-Parts Sector Draws Investor Interest
Indian auto-component manufacturers have attracted investor attention in recent years as the sector benefits from rising vehicle production, exports and the shift towards electric mobility.
A recent Goldman Sachs report cited by Bloomberg said Indian auto-parts companies trade at higher valuations than domestic carmakers. The report attributed the premium partly to their stronger growth prospects, although their return on equity and margins are lower than those of car manufacturers.
The report also noted that Indian auto-component makers trade at a premium to their global counterparts, supported by factors such as faster growth and higher asset turnover. Founded in 1972, Victura Technologies manufactures automotive components and offers metal engineering solutions. Its products and services cater to sectors including automobiles, railways, defence, consumer electronics and e-mobility.
The company operates 20 manufacturing facilities, according to information available on its website.
