The much-awaited initial public offering (IPO) of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) is set to open for subscription on Thursday, 17 September 2026. The bidding window will remain open until Monday, 21 September 2026.

The issue is entirely an offer for sale (OFS). The estimated issue size is ₹21,494-₹22,567 crore. Around 50% is reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 15% for non-institutional investors (NIIs) and 35% for retail investors.

The NSE IPO price band has been fixed at ₹1,700-1,785 per share for 12.64 crore shares. With the lot size for the NSE IPO set at eight shares, the minimum retail application works out to ₹14,280 at the upper price band.

Exchange employees are eligible for a ₹170 discount on their bids. Key NSE IPO dates and details are as follows:

Retail investors can apply through their preferred broking platforms using the application supported by blocked amount (ASBA) facility. Under this process, the application money remains blocked in the investor's bank account until the allotment process is completed.

The issue has a large group of book-running lead managers. It includes Kotak Capital, JM Financial, Morgan Stanley India, Citigroup, HSBC Securities, JPMorgan India, SBI Capital, Anand Rathi Advisors, Avendus Capital, Axis Capital, DAM Capital, Equirus Capital, HDFC Bank, ICICI Securities, IDBI Capital, IIFL Capital, Motilal Oswal, Nuvama Wealth, Pantomath Capital and 360 ONE WAM.
