Kuku Technologies IPO Plans Advance After SEBI Approval For ₹2,500-3,500 Crore Issue
Kuku Technologies IPO has received SEBI approval, with the digital content platform planning to raise ₹2,500-3,500 crore.

Kuku Technologies has received SEBI approval to proceed with its IPO plans. The company is looking to raise ₹2,500 crore to ₹3,500 crore.

Kuku Technologies has received the approval of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its proposed initial public offering (IPO), months after submitting its confidential draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) in June. The approval follows SEBI’s observation letter issued on 11 September 2026, an important regulatory step before a company proceeds with a public issue.

The company is seeking to raise between ₹2,500 crore and ₹3,500 crore through the proposed issue, with a potential valuation of up to ₹15,000 crore. The price band, lot size, bidding dates or listing date for the Kuku Technologies IPO has not been disclosed yet.

The Kuku Technologies IPO is expected to comprise both a fresh issue of shares and an offer for sale (OFS). The primary proceeds are planned for technology and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, content production and expansion into new geographies.

The company is positioned as an early large public-market test for India's micro-drama segment. This format centres on short, cliffhanger-led stories designed primarily for smartphone consumption.

The company has raised more than $150 million from investors including:

  • Fundamentum Partnership

  • Krafton

  • Vertex Ventures

  • Granite Asia

  • IFC

  • Paramark Ventures

  • India Quotient

  • 3one4 Capital

Its latest funding round was an $85 million Series C round in October 2025, led by Granite Asia.

The company competes in a segment that also includes Tencent-backed Pocket FM. Pocket FM had reportedly revived plans in April to raise $100-120 million at a valuation of $1.5-2 billion.

The company was founded in 2018 by IIT alumni Bisu, Vinod Kumar and Vikas Goyal. Kuku Technologies Limited, formerly Kuku Technologies Private Limited and Mebigo Labs Private Limited, operates a mobile and digital platform offering audiobooks, podcasts, stories, courses and educational content across multiple Indian languages. Its portfolio also includes the edutainment application Guru.

The company has more than 10 million active paying subscribers and over 400 million cumulative downloads. Its content library exceeds 60,000 hours across multiple Indian languages. Kuku Technologies has also started preparing for international expansion, including into the US market.
