JM Financial Asset Management Raises ₹700 Crore In First Pre-IPO Fund Close
JM Financial Asset Management raises ₹700 crore in the first close of its maiden pre-IPO fund.

JM Financial Asset Management has raised ₹700 crore in the first close of its maiden pre-IPO fund. With this, the company will invest in businesses expected to pursue a public listing within 18 months.

JM Financial Asset Management Limited secured ₹700 crore in the first close of its pre-initial public offering (IPO) fund on 02 September 2026.

The fund is sector-agnostic and will focus on businesses with strong fundamentals, scalable business models and growth prospects. It is expected to start deploying capital soon.

The fund marks JM Financial Asset Management’s entry into the pre-IPO investment space for investors watching the growing primary market.

JM Financial share price in the 03 September 2026 session opened at ₹130 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), against the previous close of ₹129.39. It reached a high of ₹132.99 during the early trade. At 10:09 am, it was trading at ₹132.45, up 2.36 %.

The JM Financial India pre-IPO fund has a target corpus of ₹1,500 crore. It also carries a green shoe option of up to ₹1,000 crore, giving the fund scope to raise additional capital beyond its base target.

Its primary focus will be on identifying companies that are expected to transition to the public markets within 18 months.

The ₹700 crore first close has received commitments from a mix of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), family offices and institutional investors. JM Financial said the investor response reflects growing interest in companies at the pre-IPO stage.

The assets under management (AUM) of JM Financial Asset Management were ₹14,081 crore as of July 2026. The pre-IPO fund adds an alternative investment strategy to its existing asset management operations.

For the listed parent, the development adds to the focus around its asset management business.

Investors tracking the JM Financial share price will also be watching how the new fund contributes to the company's broader asset management franchise as capital deployment begins.
