Jio Platforms IPO: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance unit to begin investor roadshows next week ahead of November listing
Jio Platforms begins investor roadshows ahead of its proposed November IPO and potential $4 billion fundraising.

Jio Platforms is set to begin global investor roadshows next week for a targeted November IPO that could raise up to 4 billion dollars, adding to a busy Indian primary market that also includes the upcoming NSE listing.

Jio Platforms Ltd, the digital and telecom arm of Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, is preparing to begin formal investor outreach for its initial public offering as early as next week, moving closer to what could be one of India's largest-ever listings. The company is targeting a November launch, with roadshows planned across the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and West Asia, as reported by Bloomberg.

The offering has been in the works for months. Jio Platforms filed its draft papers on June 19 and secured approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on August 28. The IPO involves the issuance of up to 270 million new shares, translating into a dilution of roughly 2.9% of the company's equity.

Part of the proceeds is expected to be used for debt repayment. However, the final issue size, valuation and timeline could change as discussions with investment banks continue.

Jio Platforms owns India's largest wireless carrier by subscriber base, and the IPO could raise as much as $4 billion, based on earlier estimates from people familiar with the matter. A deal of that scale would come as India's primary market prepares for several large offerings.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE), which operates the world's busiest derivatives market by trading volume, received SEBI approval for its IPO earlier this month. The exchange is expected to launch its offering in September and could raise close to $3 billion.

The two potential mega-issues come as India's equity capital market gains momentum after a relatively slower start to the year.

IPOs in India have raised close to $10 billion so far in 2026, compared with more than $20 billion in each of the previous two years, both of which were record years. Activity has picked up sharply in the third quarter, with IPO proceeds of around $5.8 billion already exceeding the amount raised during the first half of the year.

The Jio Platforms and NSE offerings could further lift fundraising activity in the second half of 2026, adding to an already busy IPO pipeline.

The final deal size, valuation and exact Jio IPO timeline have not yet been announced. The upcoming investor meetings are expected to provide greater clarity on the offering as Jio Platforms begins presenting the opportunity to institutional investors.

While SEBI approval has already been secured, the November listing remains a target rather than a confirmed date. The company could still change the timing or other terms of the issue as it moves through the IPO process.
