Hy-Tech Engineers, Tempsens Instruments, ESDS Software IPOs Get 100x-Plus Bids; August Sets Record

August 2026 recorded its highest IPO subscription frenzy since 2006, with 10 of 23 issues subscribed over 100 times shares on offer, led by Hy-Tech Engineers, Tempsens Instruments India and ESDS Software Solutions, taking the 2026 tally of such issues to 15, already the third-highest annual figure on record.
August 2026 was a strong month for the primary market, with 10 of the 23 IPOs launched during the month receiving bids for more than 100 times the shares on offer, according to BSE and NSE data.
Hy-Tech Engineers recorded the highest subscription at 244.41 times the shares on offer. Tempsens Instruments India followed with 183.53 times, while ESDS Software Solutions received bids for 135.88 times.
Ardee Industries, Lumino Industries, Augmont Enterprises, Behari Lal Engineering, Sunshine Pictures, Shiprocket and Priority Jewels were the other IPOs that crossed the 100-times subscription mark in August.
The 10 issues that crossed the mark make August the month with the highest number of 100x-plus subscribed IPOs since 2006.
August IPO Subscription Beats Previous Highs
The August tally was higher than the previous monthly highs seen in recent years. Seven IPOs crossed the 100-times subscription mark in September 2024, while five issues achieved the same in January 2025.
The strong subscription activity has also lifted the number of 100x-plus IPOs in 2026 to 15 so far.
Before August, three IPOs crossed the 100-times mark in July and two did so in June. Bharat Coking Coal was the only issue to cross the threshold in January.
August's strong showing has pushed 2026 to the third-highest annual tally of IPOs receiving more than 100 times subscription.
In 2024, 23 of the 91 IPOs launched during the year received bids for more than 100 times the shares on offer. In 2021, 17 of 63 issues crossed the mark.
In 2025, which recorded the highest IPO fundraising in a single year, 15 of the 103 IPOs launched received bids exceeding 100 times the shares on offer.
With 15 such IPOs already recorded in the first eight months of 2026, the year's tally has matched the full-year figure for 2025. The August numbers also account for two-thirds of the 2026 total so far.
The focus now shifts to the IPO pipeline for the remaining months of 2026 and whether the strong subscription activity seen in August continues.
