Milky Mist Shares Hit Record High, Surge 27% in 3 Sessions After Strong Q1 Results

Milky Mist Dairy Food shares hit a record high of Rs 268.75, rallying 27% over three sessions after the company reported an 889.81% YoY jump in Q1FY27 profit to Rs 64.68 crore and a 43.6% rise in revenue, with the stock now trading 92% above its IPO issue price.

Milky Mist Dairy Food shares rose as much as 6% to hit a record high of ₹268.75 on the BSE on Thursday, September 3, extending their gains for the third straight session. The stock has surged 27% over the three sessions after the company reported a sharp rise in profit and revenue for the June quarter.

At the latest price available, Milky Mist shares were trading at ₹256.28, up 1.68%. The stock was listed on the BSE and NSE on August 18 at an IPO issue price of ₹140. At Thursday's high, it had gained around 92% from the issue price, while at ₹256.28, it was up around 83%.

Milky Mist Dairy Food reported consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹64.68 crore for Q1FY27, up 889.81% from the year-ago period. Revenue from operations increased 43.6% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹973.45 crore, helped by sales across its product portfolio.

EBITDA rose 74.5% YoY to ₹144.89 crore during the quarter. The EBITDA margin also improved to 14.88% from 12.24% in Q1FY26.

The company reported the results after market hours on August 31. The strong numbers were followed by buying in the stock from September 1, with the shares remaining in positive territory since then.

The sharp rise in profit came alongside growth in revenue and operating profit, while the improvement in EBITDA margin points to better operating performance during the quarter.

Milky Mist said it will focus on expanding its range of value-added food products and strengthening its brands and distribution network during FY27.

K Rathnam, whole-time director and CEO of Milky Mist Dairy Food, said the company will focus on profitable growth through portfolio expansion, operating discipline and investments in manufacturing and distribution.

The company plans to expand its presence across markets and improve operating efficiency as it scales up. Management also said it will balance investments needed for future growth with financial discipline.

The focus on value-added products is important for the company as it looks to build its presence across different categories and markets. Milky Mist has also indicated that investments in manufacturing and distribution will remain a part of its growth plans.

Milky Mist made its stock market debut on August 18 after its IPO was priced at ₹140 per share. The stock has moved sharply higher since listing and hit a fresh record high of ₹268.75 on Thursday.

The Thursday high represents a gain of around 92% over the IPO issue price. At ₹256.28, the stock's gain from the issue price stood at around 83%.

The 27% rise over the last three sessions has come after the company's Q1FY27 results, which showed strong growth in profit, revenue and EBITDA along with an improvement in operating margin.

With the stock now trading well above its issue price, the focus will be on whether Milky Mist can maintain its pace of revenue and profit growth in the coming quarters as it expands its product portfolio, manufacturing operations and distribution network.
