Zee Entertainment Share Price Jumps 7% To ₹74.90, Extends Rally For Second Straight Session
Zee Entertainment shares surge nearly 7% to ₹74.90 on October 12, extending gains for the second straight session amid heavy trading volumes.

Zee Entertainment shares jumped nearly 7% to ₹74.90 on Monday, extending gains for a second straight session amid heavy trading volumes. The stock had gained over 2% in the previous session.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) shares jumped nearly 7% on Monday, October 12, extending their rally for a second consecutive session amid heavy trading volumes.

The stock opened at ₹70.20 on the NSE and climbed to an intraday high of ₹74.90, up nearly 7% from its previous close. At 11:28 am, the stock was trading at ₹74.18, up 6.02%.

The sharp move came as trading activity in ZEEL picked up during the session, with around 169.84 lakh shares changing hands on the NSE. The stock had also gained more than 2% in the previous session, extending the recovery into Monday.

The company’s rise stood out even as the broader market slipped into the red after giving up its early gains. There was no fresh company announcement identified as an immediate trigger for Monday's rally, with the stock's sharp rise accompanied by higher trading volumes.

ZEEL shares have rebounded over the last two sessions after coming under selling pressure earlier in October. The stock had fallen to ₹68.37 on October 8 after declining for two consecutive sessions.

It recovered in the following session and the rally gathered pace on Monday, with the stock moving back above the ₹74 mark during intraday trade.

Despite the latest recovery, Zee Entertainment shares remain below their 52-week high of ₹118.40 touched on June 23, 2026. The stock had hit a 52-week low of ₹68.10 on March 23, 2026.

The latest share-price move also comes days after Zee Entertainment disclosed that it had received a notice from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The company had informed the stock exchanges that it received the notice on October 5 seeking information and documents as part of an ongoing inspection under Section 206 of the Companies Act, 2013.

ZEEL said it had submitted the information sought by the ministry and would provide further information or explanations if required.

The company said the notice did not have any immediate impact on its financial, operational or other activities.
