Welspun Corp Shares Rally As Saudi Aramco
Welspun Corp shares rally after its Saudi associate secured a ₹2,000 crore order.

Welspun Corp has secured a fresh order worth around ₹2,000 crore from Saudi Aramco through its associate, EPIC. The order comes shortly after the company won its largest-ever ₹17,200 crore US contract, taking its order book to a record ₹42,100 crore.

Welspun Corp Limited shares were in focus on 21 September 2026 after its associate, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC), secured a fresh Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) order for manufacturing and supplying steel pipes.

The contract has a duration of six months. It is valued at more than SAR 771 million, equivalent to around ₹2,000 crore.

The latest order comes after a substantial rise in Welspun Corp shares during 2026. The stock had gained 232% year-to-date (YTD), making it the top-performing stock in the Nifty 500 index at the time of the report. The gain also placed Welspun Corp ahead of HFCL, whose stock had risen 216% during the same period.

At 10:31 am on 21 September on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Welspun Corp shares were trading at ₹2,716.60, up 2.12% from the previous close of ₹2,660.10. The stock opened at ₹2,758 and touched an intraday high of ₹2,797.60 before falling to a low of ₹2,666.20 in the early trade.

EPIC, a leading manufacturer of Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes, has secured the latest Saudi Aramco order and operates fully integrated manufacturing facilities. The order is scheduled to run through the first quarter of FY28.

The latest Welspun Corp order follows the company's largest-ever contract secured just a month earlier. The company won a $1.8 billion order, equivalent to nearly ₹17,200 crore, for supplying pipes from its US manufacturing facility.

The contract took Welspun Corp's order book to a record ₹42,100 crore, or $4.4 billion.

Earlier in September, Welspun Corp signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc., a developer of Jordan's National Water Carrier Project, and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The proposed partnership involves establishing a joint venture to develop and operate an integrated pipe manufacturing and coating platform in Jordan. The facility is planned to serve water, oil and gas, energy and infrastructure projects in Jordan and neighbouring regional markets.

Welspun Corp reported a 200% year-on-year (YoY) increase in Q1 FY27 net profit to ₹1,047.9 crore from ₹349.2 crore. The increase was helped by a ₹548 crore gain from the sale of shares in an associate.

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 14.9% YoY to ₹4,081.1 crore from ₹3,551.5 crore. However, revenue fell short of estimates of around ₹4,400 crore.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 31.8% to a record ₹692 crore from ₹525 crore. The operating margin widened to 17% from 14.8% a year earlier and 11.7% in the March quarter. Other expenses rose 4.7% YoY to ₹744.2 crore, although their share of revenue declined to 18% from 20%.
