Urban Company Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Rises 41%, Orders Double and Board Approves Fundraise of Up to ₹2,500 Crore
Urban Company plans to raise up to ₹2,500 crore as revenue rises 41% and core adjusted EBITDA more than triples.

Urban Company reported 41% year-on-year revenue growth in Q2 FY27. Its core business remained profitable despite heavy investment in InstaHelp. The board also approved a fundraise of up to ₹2,500 crore.

Urban Company Limited reported consolidated net transaction value (NTV) growth of 39% year on year to ₹1,432 crore in Q2 FY27, while revenue from operations increased 41% to ₹537 crore. Orders delivered more than doubled to 15.1 million, and annual transacting users reached nearly 10 million.

The company’s board approved a fresh fundraise of up to ₹2,500 crore, subject to shareholder approval. The proposed capital raise is intended to give the company more flexibility to invest across its businesses, strengthen InstaHelp and selectively pursue acquisitions.

The Urban Company share price closed 2.47% higher at ₹158.12 on 16 October 2026 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Urban Company reported an adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) loss of ₹144 crore in Q2 FY27, including a ₹174 crore investment in InstaHelp. Excluding InstaHelp, adjusted EBITDA stood at ₹30 crore, up 213% year on year.

InstaHelp’s fulfilled orders grew 63% sequentially to 6.2 million, while NTV increased 34% to ₹71 crore. The adjusted EBITDA loss per order narrowed to ₹279 from ₹346 in the previous quarter, which the company attributed to improved network density. Lower introductory pricing, customer acquisition and expansion into new micro-markets continued to weigh on the business.

Urban Company ended the quarter with ₹1,901 crore in cash and treasury investments.

India Consumer Services, excluding InstaHelp, recorded NTV growth of 26.3% to ₹963 crore. Its adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 3.5% from 2.4% a year earlier. The business added around 0.76 million first-time users during the quarter, while Tier 2 cities recorded approximately 37% NTV growth.

The international business reported 66% NTV growth to ₹267 crore, while net revenue increased 82% to ₹75 crore. Its margin improved to 2% of NTV. Native, the company’s smart home products business, recorded 35% NTV growth to ₹132 crore and a 40% increase in net revenue to ₹105 crore. Its adjusted EBITDA loss margin narrowed to 6.8% of NTV from 9% a year earlier.

The board gave in-principle approval to explore residential air conditioners as a new category under Native. The company cited its experience servicing millions of units annually and its understanding of customer needs as reasons for exploring the opportunity. This is an initial approval to evaluate the category, rather than confirmation of a product launch.

The company also expects combined Q2 and Q3 FY27 NTV growth of 50% to 55%, with festive-season sales shifting into Q3. It said it remains on track to achieve adjusted EBITDA break-even by Q3 FY28 and adjusted EBITDA of ₹1,000 crore by FY31.
