    Indian markets extended gains on Thursday’s session. Investors will track earnings-driven moves in JBM Auto, Tata Steel, Thermax, Swiggy and others, alongside fresh June-quarter results from major companies today.

    Indian benchmark indices ended higher on Thursday, as decent quarterly earnings boosted investor sentiment. The Sensex rose 0.35% to close at 77,928.15, while the Nifty 50 gained 0.28% to 24,317.15.

    JBM Auto

    JBM Auto reported a 14.7% year-on-year increase in first-quarter net profit, supported by growth in its electric vehicle and auto components businesses.

    Tata Steel

    Tata Steel reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,318.4 crore for the June quarter, up 11.6% year-on-year. Revenue rose 14.3% to ₹60,794.3 crore, exceeding market expectations, although profit missed estimates.

    Thermax

    Thermax reported an 83.4% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, as profitability came under pressure despite higher revenue.

    RailTel Corporation of India

    RailTel reported a flat net profit of ₹66 crore for the June quarter. Revenue and operating profit, however, recorded double-digit year-on-year growth.

    Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders

    Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders posted a strong June-quarter performance, with net profit rising 21.5% year-on-year to ₹549.4 crore. Revenue increased 12.1% to ₹2,943 crore.

    Swiggy

    Swiggy posted a narrower-than-expected consolidated net loss of ₹791 crore for the June quarter, improving from a loss of ₹1,197 crore a year earlier. Revenue and operating performance broadly matched Street expectations.

    Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals

    Chambal Fertilisers reported a 4.6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹544 crore, although operating profitability improved during the quarter.

    Rainbow Children's Medicare

    Rainbow Children's Medicare reported a 13.2% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹60.57 crore during the first quarter, supported by healthy growth in revenue and operating profit.

    Torrent Pharmaceuticals

    Torrent Pharmaceuticals reported a strong June-quarter performance, with net profit rising 3.3% to ₹566 crore. Revenue surged 54.8% year-on-year to ₹4,921 crore, supported by robust domestic demand and continued momentum in the US market.
