Suzlon Energy has secured a 250 megawatt (MW) wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, taking its total new orders in FY27 to 1.1 gigawatt (GW), the company said on Tuesday.

The latest order marks the sixth deal between Suzlon and Torrent Green Energy, a Torrent Group company. Their combined partnership has now crossed 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

Despite the fresh order win, Suzlon Energy shares failed to gain in Tuesday’s trade. The stock fell to ₹46.56 apiece in early trading before recovering slightly. Suzlon’s shares closed at ₹46.72 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Under the latest order, Suzlon will supply 76 of its S144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW. The contract also includes grid integration and long-term operations and maintenance services.

Suzlon said the partnership with Torrent has developed over more than a decade and has become one of its largest customer relationships.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the continued orders from Torrent reflect the confidence built through consistent project execution and long-term cooperation. He added that the partnership has grown into a major customer relationship for Suzlon.

Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, said customer confidence remains a key strength for the company. He pointed to the 1.1 GW of orders secured in FY27 and said the latest contract further expands Suzlon’s presence in Madhya Pradesh.

The order comes as Suzlon continues to build its wind energy order book through contracts with large power and renewable energy companies.
