Suzlon Energy Share Price Jumps As Company Announces ₹550 Crore Investment In Three AI-Powered Wind Blade Factories By 2027
Suzlon Energy plans a ₹550 crore investment in three AI-powered wind blade factories by 2027, expected to create 15,000 jobs.

Suzlon Energy will invest ₹550 crore in three AI-powered wind blade factories across Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by 2027. The expansion aims to improve production efficiency, support project deliveries and generate 15,000 direct and indirect jobs, including significant employment in rural areas.

Three new factories are central to Suzlon Energy’s manufacturing plans. Equipped with AI, the wind turbine blade facilities are slated to come up by 2027 in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The rationale is practical: bring production nearer to key wind energy markets and cut transportation lead times.

India’s utility-scale and hybrid renewable energy markets are seeing greater activity. Against this backdrop, Suzlon Group co-founder Girish Tanti said the expansion would accelerate project execution while helping the company meet rising domestic demand.

The new plants will incorporate robotics, automated quality checks and integrated digital workflows. These technologies are intended to improve manufacturing consistency, operational safety and production efficiency.

Suzlon shares climbed to an intraday high of ₹39.42, up over 4% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on 12 October 2026, against the previous close of ₹37.58, and at 12:11 pm, the shares were trading at ₹39.04 a piece, up 3.88%.

Manufacturing Expansion: Key Details

The additions will take Suzlon's manufacturing network from 15 to 18 facilities. Its existing blade production sites are located in Jaisalmer, Bhuj, Ratlam, Dhule and Anantapur.

The project is expected to create 3,000 direct jobs and 12,000 indirect jobs, with 80% of the employment opportunities projected to be in rural areas.

Suzlon's order book stood at approximately 6 GW as of March 2026. The additional production infrastructure is intended to help the company execute these contracts more efficiently.

The company reported FY26 revenue of ₹16,679 crore, up from ₹10,851 crore in FY25. Net profit rose to ₹3,163 crore from ₹2,072 crore over the same period.
