Stocks to watch on August 21 include RailTel, KIMS, Manipal Health, Saatvik Green Energy and Kfin Technologies. Key triggers include Q1 results, major orders, corporate developments, regulatory actions and block deals.

Indian equities rebounded on Thursday, with the Nifty 50 rising 0.64% to 24,231.85 and the Sensex gaining 0.82% to 77,537.72. The recovery ended the Nifty’s seven-session losing streak, led by IT and financial stocks. Fourteen of 16 major sectors closed higher, while mid- and small-cap indices also advanced.

Manipal Health Enterprises

Manipal Health Enterprises reported a 7.7% year-on-year fall in consolidated net profit to ₹231 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹250 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue increased 38.1% to ₹3,091 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 25.6% to ₹736.5 crore. However, the EBITDA margin narrowed to 23.8% from 26.2% a year earlier.

Saatvik Green Energy

Saatvik Solar Industries, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy, has accepted a commercial order worth ₹190 crore from a domestic independent power producer/EPC company. The contract covers the supply of solar photovoltaic modules and is expected to be completed by March 2027.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has signed an operations and maintenance agreement with Aurevia Hospitals to exclusively manage the 250-bed Arete Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The initial contract runs for five years and can be extended for another five years. KIMS will receive a management fee equivalent to 9% of the hospital's net revenue.

RailTel

RailTel Corporation of India has secured a ₹164.79 crore contract from Western Coalfields for setting up an MPLS VPN network on a rental basis. The agreement has a tenure of 60 months, with the project scheduled to be completed by September 2031.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles said operations have returned to normal at its Sanand manufacturing facilities in Gujarat and at supplier locations across the region after temporary disruptions caused by flooding and heavy rainfall. The company estimates the financial impact of the natural calamity at approximately ₹35–40 crore, while the expected insurance claim is below ₹30 crore. Tata Motors said the disruption did not materially affect production, operations or financial performance.

Lemon Tree Hotels

Lemon Tree Hotels has strengthened its presence in Gujarat by opening a new property in Bharuch. The addition takes the company's operational portfolio in the state to 12 hotels. A further 20 properties are currently in the pipeline, highlighting Gujarat's importance to the company's expansion strategy. The Bharuch hotel will be operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels.

Hindustan Aeronautics

The Bengaluru bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has directed the dissolution of Infotech HAL Ltd., a dormant 50:50 joint venture between Hindustan Aeronautics and Cyient. The winding-up proceedings commenced in March 2024. Since the joint venture has remained dormant, its closure is not expected to have a material effect on HAL's defence programmes or balance sheet.

Torrent Power

Torrent Power announced that Saurabh Mashruwala will step down as the company's Chief Financial Officer with effect from 20 August 2026. Vikas Poddar has been appointed as the new CFO, with his appointment taking effect from 21 August.

Rallis India

Rallis India's CFO, Bhaskar Swaminathan, will leave his position on 4 November 2026, to take up a role at another Tata Group company. The company has named Shridhar Radhakrishnan as his successor, effective from the same date.

Marico

Marico may remain in focus after Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cautioned consumers against purchasing loose or unsealed edible oil. The regulator has additionally initiated compliance measures across the edible oil industry following reported violations.

Niva Bupa Health Insurance

Niva Bupa Health Insurance said the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has flagged a breach of the applicable Expense of Management limits for FY25. As a consequence, the insurer has been prohibited from opening new places of business for six months starting 19 August 2026.
