    Indian equity benchmarks ended almost unchanged on 13 July, recovering sharply from steep early losses triggered by geopolitical concerns. The Sensex closed 47 points higher at 77,616.40, while the Nifty 50 edged up 4.1 points to 24,211.

    The AMC posted a 23.1% year-on-year increase in net profit for the first quarter, supported by higher total income.

    Its subsidiary, Aditya Birla Renewables Ltd (ABRen), has signed an agreement to acquire the Sprng Energy group from Shell Overseas Investment B.V. in a deal with an enterprise value of ₹17,200 crore (around $1.8 billion).

    The lender has completed the issuance of $200 million in senior unsecured floating-rate notes through its London branch under its existing 2029 bond programme. The notes will be listed on India INX at GIFT City.

    The state-run logistics company reported an 8.89% year-on-year increase in container volumes during the quarter ended June, driven by growth in both EXIM and domestic cargo.

    The company will acquire the remaining 12.05% stake in Gennova Biopharmaceuticals for ₹231.87 crore, making the biotechnology firm a wholly owned subsidiary.

    The fashion sourcing and manufacturing company has entered into a multi-year Sourcing as a Service (SaaS) partnership with the global sourcing arm of a leading supermarket group headquartered in France to manage textile sourcing operations across five countries.

    The company said its subsidiary, IFGL Monocon Saudi Company Limited, was incorporated in Saudi Arabia on 11 July 2026, marking its latest international expansion.
