Shipping Corporation of India’s net profit for Q1 FY27 rose 75% to ₹619.34 crore and revenue crossed ₹1,800 crore. The tanker business remained the biggest growth driver.

The Shipping Corporation of India Q1 FY27 results are out. The company's consolidated net profit stood at ₹619.34 crore, compared with ₹354.17 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased to ₹1,846.56 crore, comfortably crossing the ₹1,800-crore mark during the quarter.

Revenue from Operations: ₹1,846.56 crore (up 40.3% YoY)

Net Profit: ₹619.34 crore (up 74.9% YoY)

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA): ₹882.44 crore

EBITDA Margin: 47.79% (vs 37.16% last year)

Dividend: Not announced

Tanker Revenue: ₹1,295.46 crore

Standalone Profit Before Tax: ₹673.20 crore

The Shipping Corporation of India's Q1 FY27 results showed stronger earnings across its major operating segments. However, tankers remained the biggest contributor.

The tanker business generated ₹1,295.46 crore in revenue during the quarter. Profit before interest and tax from this segment rose to ₹525.23 crore, more than doubling from the year-ago period.

Performance also improved in the company's liner, bulk carrier, and technical & offshore businesses. Both the bulk carrier and technical & offshore divisions returned to profit after reporting weaker numbers earlier.

Standalone profit before tax increased to ₹673.20 crore, indicating that stronger shipping activity continued to support the company's core operations.

SCI said the government's strategic disinvestment programme remains under process.

According to the company, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) continues to oversee the transaction. It added that the virtual data room remains available and the due diligence exercise by the transaction advisor is still in progress.

The board approved both the standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The statutory auditors also issued an unmodified limited review report.

Shipping Corporation of India share price closed 2.63% higher at ₹308.60 on the NSE ahead of the earnings announcement.

Over the past year, the stock has gained more than 46%, outperforming the broader Nifty 500 during the same period.
