Shares of real estate companies rallied on Thursday, September 3, with Anant Raj leading gains among the NIFTY Realty constituents, while Prestige Estates Projects, Aditya Birla Real Estate and Brigade Enterprises also advanced.

The rally adds to the sector’s strong recent performance. The NIFTY Realty index has gained 19% over the past three months and more than 18% over the past six months. On a year-to-date basis, the index is up 3%.

Realty stocks were among the strongest performers in Thursday’s session, with buying seen across the sector. Anant Raj led the gains, while Prestige Estates also advanced after announcing a new residential development in Gurgaon with an estimated GDV of ₹5,600 crore.

The broader market was also positive, with the Sensex and Nifty 50 trading higher in late-morning trade. However, the gains in real estate stocks were significantly stronger than the broader market, pushing the NIFTY Realty index to the top of the sectoral leaderboard.

Anant Raj was the standout performer among the NIFTY Realty constituents, with the stock climbing as much as 7.8% to an intraday high of ₹634.60 on the NSE, compared with Wednesday’s close of ₹588.85. At the time of writing, the stock was trading 7.25% higher at ₹631.55.

The gains came after Prestige Group announced that it had added a 17.14-acre land parcel in Sector 109, Gurgaon, to its residential development portfolio.

The proposed project will have a saleable area of around 2.8 million square feet and an estimated gross development value (GDV) of approximately ₹5,600 crore.

The land parcel has connectivity to the Dwarka Expressway and provides access to key residential, commercial and social infrastructure across Gurgaon and Delhi.

Prestige Group Chairman and Managing Director Irfan Razack said the company is building scale and depth in the NCR after entering the region’s residential market last year. The group has several projects planned across the NCR in FY27 and expects the region to become an increasingly important contributor to its sales trajectory.

The latest land addition comes as Prestige continues to expand its development pipeline. As of June 2026, the group had delivered 319 projects covering 216 million square feet, while its pipeline stood at 137 projects spanning 229 million square feet.

Aditya Birla Real Estate advanced as much as 4.19% to ₹1,386.90, compared with Wednesday’s close of ₹1,331.10. The stock was trading 3.70% higher at ₹1,380.40 at the time of writing.
