Premier Energies Shares Are In Focus After The Company Bags Fresh Orders Worth ₹4,001 Crore In September Quarter

Premier Energies received orders worth ₹4,001 crore in Q2 FY27 for solar cell and module supplies and EPC work. The company has expanded its solar cell manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW after commissioning a new 7 GW facility in Andhra Pradesh.
Premier Energies has received orders worth ₹4,001 crore in the July-September quarter, putting the solar equipment maker's shares in focus during Monday's trading session.
The orders cover the supply of 2,308 MW of solar cells and modules, along with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project work. Customers include power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other buyers.
The order inflow comes as Premier Energies expands its manufacturing capacity to meet demand for solar equipment. Its total solar module capacity has nearly doubled to 11.1 GW, while solar cell capacity has increased to 10.6 GW from 3.6 GW.
At 9:35 AM, Premier Energies’ share price stood at 891.50, down 0.43% from the previous session’s closing.
New 7 GW Solar Cell Plant Starts Operations
Premier Energies commissioned a 7 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh last month. The addition has taken its overall solar cell capacity to 10.6 GW.
The plant, spread across 101 acres, is designed to manufacture N-type TOPCon G12R solar cells. The company invested ₹3,293 crore in the facility and said the commissioning was completed on schedule and within budget.
The new capacity comes as manufacturers look to meet rising demand for high-efficiency solar cells and modules. Premier Energies has also begun trial runs at the facility.
Management Sees Demand Across Solar Market
Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja said the latest orders reflect the company's growth strategy and ability to execute projects.
He said buyers in India's solar market are increasingly looking for manufacturers with scale, bankability and access to newer technologies. Premier Energies believes its expanded manufacturing base puts it in a position to serve customers across different parts of the market.
The ₹4,001-crore order inflow adds to the business available for the company as it ramps up production at its expanded facilities.
Premier Energies Shares And Future Outlook
Premier Energies shares have fallen around 13% over the past year. Investors will be watching the stock's response to the latest order announcement on Monday.
The company's capacity expansion comes as India pushes ahead with its renewable energy plans. The country has set a target of 500 GW of installed non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, with solar power expected to remain an important part of that expansion.
