PC Jeweller Share Price Rises 6% As Company Moves Closer To Debt-Free Status
PC Jeweller Shares Rise 6% as Company Clears Debt to 9 Banks, Eyes Debt-Free Status

PC Jeweller shares gained after the company cleared more outstanding bank debt and said it remains on track to become debt-free this month. The jewellery retailer has also reported strong Q1FY27 earnings, with net profit rising 37% and EBITDA jumping 90% year-on-year.

Shares of jewellery retailer PC Jeweller rose as much as 5.6% to ₹10.75 on the NSE on Thursday, September 3, after the company said it had cleared all outstanding debt owed to one more consortium bank.

With the latest repayment, PC Jeweller has now fully repaid its outstanding debt to nine of the 14 banks in its consortium. The company said all nine repayments were completed ahead of their scheduled due dates.

The stock was trading at ₹10.63, up 4.42%, at 2:30 pm. The gains came after the shares had declined for the previous two sessions.

PC Jeweller said it has also repaid more than 96% of the outstanding debt owed to the remaining five consortium banks.

The company expects to clear the balance of less than 4% during September and become debt-free this month.

The latest repayment is part of the company's plan under the Settlement Agreement dated September 30, 2024. PC Jeweller has been steadily reducing its debt over the past year as it works to strengthen its balance sheet.

The company had said in July that it was making rapid progress towards becoming debt-free. At the time of its Q1FY27 results last month, PC Jeweller said it had already fully repaid debt owed to seven of the 14 consortium banks. The latest update takes the number of banks cleared to nine.

PC Jeweller reported a 37% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹222 crore in Q1FY27, compared with ₹161.93 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total income increased to ₹879.27 crore from ₹807.88 crore in Q1FY26. Operating performance also improved sharply, with EBITDA rising 90% YoY to ₹242 crore from ₹127 crore.

The company had said while announcing its June quarter results that it expected to become debt-free during the current quarter.

PC Jeweller shares have gained 14% so far in 2026. The stock is up around 10% over the past month and 18% in the last six months.

However, the stock remains below its 52-week high of ₹15.38, recorded on September 17, 2025. It had touched a 52-week low of ₹7.47 on March 30, 2026.

At market close on September 3, PC Jeweller shares were trading at ₹10.45, up 2.65%. The stock had touched an intraday high of ₹10.75, marking a gain of 5.6% from the previous close during the session.
