ONGC Q2 FY27 financial results reported higher consolidated profit and ₹8 interim dividend.

ONGC's consolidated Q2FY27 profit rose 46.9% to ₹18,534.82 crore, while revenue increased 25.6%. The board announced an interim dividend of ₹8 per share, with 12 November set as the record date.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) reported a 46.9% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹18,534.82 crore for the July-September quarter of FY27. The state-run oil and gas major had posted a consolidated profit of ₹12,614.60 crore in the same quarter last year.

Consolidated revenue from operations increased 25.6% to ₹1,98,263.33 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹1,57,913.60 crore a year earlier. The company also announced its first interim dividend for FY27, with the board approving a payment of ₹8 per equity share.

At 10:23 AM on Friday, the ONGC share price on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) stood at 228.62 apiece, down 0.64%. The shares have declined 3.34% so far in 2026.

ONGC's standalone PAT rose 57.3% year-on-year to ₹15,489 crore in Q2FY27, against ₹9,847.97 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

The sequential numbers, however, were weaker. Standalone profit declined 9.1% from ₹17,034 crore in the June quarter. Revenue fell 5.6% quarter-on-quarter to ₹43,875 crore from ₹46,460 crore.

EBITDA also dropped 12.3% to ₹24,860 crore, compared with ₹28,355 crore in Q1 FY27. The EBITDA margin narrowed to 56.7% from 61% in the preceding quarter.

The board has declared an interim dividend of ₹8 per equity share with a face value of ₹5. This represents a payout of 160% of the share's face value.

ONGC has fixed 12 November 2026 as the record date to determine which shareholders will be eligible for the dividend. The payment will be made within 30 days of the declaration.

The board approved an inter-corporate loan of up to ₹10,000 crore to ONGC Videsh Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary. The facility will remain valid for five years, and the outstanding loan amount cannot exceed ₹10,000 crore at any time. The two companies will mutually decide the terms and conditions.

Separately, ONGC disclosed that it had ₹1,000 crore worth of unsecured non-convertible debentures (NCDs) outstanding as of 30 September 2026. The company said security cover certificates do not apply to these debentures because they are unsecured.
