Moneyview Shares Extend Gains After Strong Market Debut
The sharp post-listing run follows strong demand for Moneyview's ₹1,091.68 crore IPO, which was open for subscription between September 24 and September 28 at a price band of ₹32-34 per share.
The issue was subscribed 98.46 times by the end of bidding, led by qualified institutional buyers. The QIB portion was subscribed 227.45 times, while the non-institutional investor category received 115.41 times the shares on offer. The retail portion was booked 19.57 times.
The IPO comprised a fresh issue of ₹750 crore along with an offer for sale by existing shareholders. Moneyview had also raised ₹327.5 crore from anchor investors ahead of the public issue.
Of the fresh issue proceeds, the company plans to use ₹325 crore to support growth in loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements and ₹250 crore to strengthen the capital base of its subsidiary Whizdm Finance. The remaining amount has been earmarked for general corporate purposes.
