L&T Shares Extend Rally For Fourth Day, Gain Nearly 8% In Four Sessions After Bagging Multiple Building Projects Worth Up To ₹2,500 Crore
Larsen and Toubro shares rise after new residential and commercial project orders.

L&T shares rose for a fourth straight session after its RCF vertical secured multiple building contracts worth up to ₹2,500 crore. The stock has gained 7.9% over the last four trading sessions.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) shares continued their upward move on Monday, 2 November, after the engineering and construction major announced a fresh set of orders worth up to ₹2,500 crore. The contracts have been secured by its residential, commercial buildings and factories (RCF) business vertical.

L&T shares climbed 2.1% to hit an intraday high of ₹3,953.10 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday. The stock has gained 5.3% over the past month, although it remains down 4.6% so far in 2026.

At 11:04 AM, L&T share price stood at ₹3,942.80, up 1.8%. Monday's gains extended its winning run to four sessions, taking the total rise over this period to 7.9%.

The latest contracts cover three building projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. L&T has classified the orders as 'significant', a category it uses for contracts valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.

In Mumbai, the company will construct nine residential towers, each with one basement and 50 floors. The Bengaluru project also involves nine residential towers, but each will have three basement levels and 25 floors.

The third contract is for a premium commercial tower in Hyderabad. The building will have five basement levels and 22 floors.

Apart from these new projects, L&T said it has received additional orders for some of its ongoing work. The company did not disclose the individual value of each contract.

The latest order wins come soon after L&T reported its highest-ever order inflow for a September quarter. The company received orders worth around ₹1.5 lakh crore in Q2, a 27.5% increase from approximately ₹1.2 lakh crore in the corresponding period last year. Large and ultra-large orders in its conventional energy businesses contributed to the increase.

L&T's consolidated order book stood at ₹8.54 lakh crore at the end of the quarter, up 28% year on year. International projects accounted for 54% of the total order book. The company also estimated its near-term addressable opportunities pipeline at around ₹10 lakh crore.

The new building contracts add to L&T's already sizeable project pipeline. With its order book growing and a large set of potential projects ahead, investors will watch how quickly the company converts new orders into revenue.

For the stock, Monday's move marks the fourth consecutive session of gains. However, despite the recent recovery, L&T shares are still down 4.6% in 2026 so far. The next focus will be on further order announcements and the pace of execution across its infrastructure, buildings and energy businesses.
