Kanohar Electricals Shares Jump 15% After Q1 Profit Rises 140% And Revenue More Than Doubles To ₹137 Crore

Kanohar Electricals shares jumped over 15% after Q1 FY27 revenue more than doubled to ₹137 crore and profit rose 140% to ₹27 crore. Its order book also increased to ₹2,026 crore after ₹332.3 crore of new orders.
Kanohar Electricals shares jumped more than 15% on Wednesday, 7 October, after the transformer manufacturer reported a sharp increase in revenue and profit for the June quarter.
The company announced its Q1 FY27 results on 6 October. It was the first quarterly financial update since Kanohar Electricals was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) in September.
Revenue from operations more than doubled year-on-year to ₹137 crore from ₹67 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 152.2% to ₹39 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 28.3% from 22.8%.
Kanohar Electricals shares opened at ₹1,038.95 on the BSE on Wednesday. The stock moved to an intraday high of ₹1,090.50 and a low of ₹1,010.40. At 11:14 AM, Kanohar Electricals share price stood at ₹1,093.25, up 15.99% from the previous session’s closing.
Profit Rises 140% In Q1 FY27
Kanohar Electricals reported a profit before tax of ₹37 crore for the June quarter, up 134.7% from ₹16 crore a year earlier. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 140% to ₹27 crore from ₹11 crore. The PAT margin also improved to 19.9% from 16.9%.
Whole-Time Director Abhishek Singhal said the company had carried the momentum from FY26 into the new financial year, with higher revenue accompanied by improvements in EBITDA and PAT margins.
He attributed the stronger profitability to higher manufacturing volumes and a better product mix. The increased contribution from 400kV transformers also helped the company benefit from operating leverage.
Order Book Reaches ₹2,026 Crore
Kanohar Electricals secured additional orders worth around ₹332.3 crore during the quarter. The new orders have taken its outstanding order book to approximately ₹2,026 crore. The company expects to execute these orders over the next 18-24 months.
Kanohar is currently working on newly won orders for 400kV transformers and is also looking to add more orders in the 765kV segment. The company already has manufacturing capabilities for 765kV transformers.
Singhal said certifications and pre-qualifications create significant entry barriers in the transformer industry, which can support established manufacturers with the required capabilities.
Kanohar Plans Capacity Expansion
The company is investing in brownfield capacity expansion at its Gangol facility. Kanohar Electricals also plans to spend on sustainability initiatives, with the total capex over the next 18 months expected to support higher production capacity and future growth.
The company operates across power transmission, power distribution, railways and renewable energy. Its current focus is on using available capacity and the existing order pipeline to support further growth.
For FY27, Kanohar Electricals has set a revenue target of ₹950 crore while aiming to maintain an EBITDA margin broadly in line with FY26.
