Jindal Worldwide shares hit the 20% upper circuit on 3 September after its EV arm, Jindal Mobilitric, announced plans to expand its retail network. The company is planning to open around 100 electric scooter showrooms across India by FY28.
Jindal Worldwide Limited shares hit the 20% upper circuit at ₹48.22 on 3 September. The rise comes after its electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, Jindal Mobilitric Private Limited, announced plans to expand its retail network to around 100 electric scooter showrooms across India by FY28.
The company plans to open around 40 outlets by the end of FY27. The remaining showrooms will be added progressively through FY28.
The expansion comes as Jindal Mobilitric’s Ahmedabad manufacturing facility is now fully operational, and the company has opened its first two showrooms in Srinagar and Jaipur.
Jindal Worldwide Share Price
At 2:10 pm on 3 September, the Jindal Worldwide shares were trading at ₹47.94, up 19.28%, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The day's high for the stock during the session was ₹48.22, while the day's low stood at ₹40.52.
The stock had gained 10% on 1 September before declining 4.5% on 2 September.
Dealer Network Supports Pan-India EV Expansion
Jindal Mobilitric has appointed 52 dealers across India to support its planned showroom expansion. The network is intended to help the company expand its market presence across both urban and semi-urban locations.
The company described the next two years as an important phase for its expansion. Amit Agarwal, Director of Jindal Mobilitric Private Limited, said the business remains committed to reaching the 100-showroom target by FY28.
With manufacturing already operational and the dealer network taking shape, the planned showroom rollout marks the next stage of Jindal Mobilitric's EV expansion.
