IRFC Q2 Results Today: Board To Consider Interim Dividend
IRFC Q2 FY27 results due today as the board considers an interim dividend, with October 23 set as the record date.

IRFC heads into its September-quarter results after a sharp correction in its shares this year. The stock has recovered from a fresh 52-week low hit last week, while Q2 earnings and the interim dividend are the next key triggers.

Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) is set to announce its Q2 FY27 results today, October 15, with the railway PSU's board also due to consider an interim dividend for the current financial year. IRFC has fixed October 23 as the record date for determining eligible shareholders if the dividend is approved.

IRFC shares closed at ₹79.75 on Wednesday, up 0.16%, after recovering from a fresh 52-week low of ₹74.06 touched on October 9. The stock has fallen around 36% in 2026 and remains about 42% below its 52-week high of ₹137.17 touched in December 2025. Against this backdrop, the Q2 earnings and dividend announcement will be closely tracked for the next trigger in IRFC shares.

The September-quarter results come after IRFC reported a 10.4% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹1,927.21 crore in Q1 FY27, while revenue from operations increased 19.5% to ₹8,261.11 crore. The Q2 numbers will show whether the railway financier maintained its earnings growth during the July-September period.

IRFC will report its September-quarter earnings after posting higher profit and revenue in the first three months of FY27. Net profit increased to ₹1,927.21 crore in the June quarter from ₹1,745.69 crore a year earlier, while revenue from operations rose to ₹8,261.11 crore from ₹6,915.38 crore.

The railway financier has also been expanding its financing activities beyond its traditional role of funding Indian Railways. The September-quarter numbers will provide the latest indication of its earnings trajectory as the company moves through the first half of FY27.

IRFC will hold an investor conference call on October 16 to discuss its Q2 and half-year performance.

IRFC shares have seen a sharp correction this year. The stock hit a 52-week high of ₹137.17 on December 29, 2025, before falling to ₹74.06 on October 9, 2026, its lowest level in a year.

The shares have recovered around 8% from that low to close at ₹79.75 on Wednesday. IRFC has also gained about 5% over the past week, but remains down around 36% on a year-to-date basis and around 19% over the past six months.

The stock's weakness means Thursday's Q2 numbers will come at a time when IRFC remains significantly below the levels seen at the beginning of 2026. The earnings, along with the interim dividend decision, will provide the next immediate trigger for the stock.

IRFC's board will consider the interim dividend alongside the Q2 results today. October 23 has been fixed as the record date for determining shareholder eligibility if the payout is approved. The dividend amount has not yet been announced. IRFC had paid two interim dividends of ₹1.05 per share each in FY26.
