IRFC Q1 Results FY27

IRFC reported record quarterly revenue, profit after tax and net worth in Q1 FY27, while maintaining a nil NPA position.

IRFC Q1 Results FY27: Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) reported its Q1 FY27 results on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The Navratna public sector undertaking, which serves as the dedicated financing arm of Indian Railways, said the June quarter was its strongest financial performance since inception.

The company's profit after tax rose to ₹1,927.21 crore during the April-June period from ₹1,745.69 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased to ₹8,261.11 crore from ₹6,915.38 crore a year earlier, reflecting steady growth in its financing business.

IRFC also reported total income of ₹8,391.34 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹6,918.24 crore in the year-ago period. According to the company, this was the highest quarterly total income it has reported so far.

The company's net worth rose to a record ₹58,791.95 crore as of June 30, 2026, from ₹56,748.76 crore at the end of March, supported by continued profitability and retained earnings.

Net interest margin (NIM), on an annualised basis, stood at 1.48% during the quarter. IRFC said the margin reflected the benefits of its diversification efforts and disciplined liability management.

Assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹4.79 lakh crore as of June 30, compared with ₹4.85 lakh crore as of March 31.

The company also maintained its zero non-performing asset (NPA) position during the quarter, continuing its clean asset quality record while expanding its lending portfolio beyond traditional railway financing.

Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar Dubey said the June quarter reflected the company's strongest quarterly performance to date, with record revenue, profitability and net worth.

He said IRFC's diversification strategy under its "IRFC 2.0" roadmap, together with its focus on maintaining a high-quality asset book, has supported the company's financial performance. The company is also looking to expand its presence across mobility and allied sectors linked to the railway ecosystem.

Looking ahead, IRFC said it expects its diversification initiatives to support better spreads and profitability through FY27. It added that it will continue to follow a prudent risk management framework while maintaining its zero-NPA record and supporting infrastructure financing.

Following the earnings announcement, IRFC shares were trading 0.4% lower at ₹88.77 apiece on the NSE at around 2:49 pm.
