Info Edge Share Price Falls After Q2 Update
Info Edge shares fall after Q2FY27 update as billings rise 12.8%, with Recruitment Solutions and 99acres driving growth.

Info Edge shares moved lower after its Q2FY27 business update. Billings on a standalone basis grew 12.8%. 99acres and Recruitment Solutions drove the increase, while Shiksha remained weak.

Info Edge share price fell after the company released its Q2FY27 business update on 8 October, despite the Naukri parent reporting double-digit growth in standalone billings. The company posted stronger performance across Recruitment Solutions, 99acres and Jeevansathi, but continued weakness at Shiksha remained a key pressure point.

At 9:34 am on 8 October, Info Edge (India) shares were trading at ₹1,201.30 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), down ₹24, or 1.96%, from the previous close of ₹1,225.30. The stock had moved between ₹1,193.10 and ₹1,253.20 during the session. The decline came after the company disclosed its quarterly business update before the official financial results.

Standalone billings increased to ₹822.3 crore from ₹729 crore a year earlier. Management estimated underlying growth at approximately 14% after adjusting for renewal timing differences in the Recruitment business.

Recruitment Solutions remained the largest contributor, with billings rising 12.6% year-on-year. Adjusted for customer renewal timing, underlying growth was estimated at around 14-15%. The company also reported increased adoption of its B2B AI products, AI-Rex and Talent Pulse.

99acres delivered the fastest growth among the major businesses, with billings rising 21.2%. Growth accelerated from the previous quarter, while the platform's category traffic share remained stable during July and August.

Shiksha billings fell 27.2% as AI-driven search reduced referrals to the platform. Info Edge said it is introducing new offerings to reduce its dependence on search, but expects the transition to keep billings under pressure in the interim.

The update therefore presented a mixed picture: core recruitment remained healthy and 99acres gained momentum, while the sharp decline at Shiksha continued to weigh on the broader business mix.
