IDBI Bank Q2 FY27: Total Business Rises 18% To ₹6.27 Lakh Crore

IDBI Bank’s total business grew 18% year-on-year to ₹6.27 lakh crore in Q2 FY27, with deposits and net advances also recording double-digit growth.
IDBI Bank’s total business rose 18% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹6,27,149 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2026, according to the bank’s provisional business update.
The latest numbers point to double-digit growth on both sides of the balance sheet, with deposits and advances also increasing from the year-ago period. The figures remain subject to audit and review by the bank’s statutory auditors.
IDBI Bank shares rallied 5.32% on 1 October, closing at ₹86.57 on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).
How Did IDBI Bank’s Deposits Perform?
Total deposits stood at ₹3,55,611 crore at the end of September 2026, up 17% YoY from ₹3,03,408 crore a year earlier. Deposits had stood at ₹3,25,757 crore at the end of June 2026.
Within the deposit base, Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) deposits increased to ₹1,55,882 crore from ₹1,38,934 crore in September 2025.
What Was The Growth In IDBI Bank’s Advances?
Net advances increased 18% YoY to ₹2,71,537 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹2,30,220 crore a year earlier. The figure was also higher than the ₹2,58,968 crore reported at the end of June 2026.
The growth in advances, alongside higher deposits, took total business to ₹6,27,149 crore compared with ₹5,33,628 crore in September 2025.
The operating update comes as the government’s strategic disinvestment process for IDBI Bank continues. The government is evaluating financial bids for the proposed sale of a 60.72% stake in the lender.
Fairfax Financial Holdings and Emirates NBD have submitted revised financial bids, with both having received security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Reserve Bank of India’s fit-and-proper assessment, according to the report.
