IDBI Bank Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 5% To ₹2,115 Crore As Advances Grow 22% YoY

IDBI Bank reported a 5% YoY increase in its net profit to reach ₹2,115 crore. The numbers were supported by 10% growth in NII and 22% growth in net advances.

IDBI Bank Q1 FY27 results showed an increase in lending and net interest income during the June quarter even though operating profit dropped in comparison on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 5% to ₹2,115 crore, while net interest income (NII) increased 10% to ₹3,486 crore.

Profit before tax (PBT) increased 11% year-on-year to ₹2,805 crore. However, operating profit fell 8% to ₹2,168 crore, while other income declined 28% to ₹1,032 crore. Net interest margin (NIM) stood at 3.61%, as compared to 3.68% in the same quarter last year. Return on assets (RoA) was 1.89%, while return on equity (RoE) stood at 14.80%.

The bank's asset quality continued to improve. Gross NPA fell to 2.30% from 2.93% a year earlier, while net NPA declined to 0.16% from 0.21%. The provision coverage ratio stood at 99.31%.

IDBI Bank’s net profit was also supported by lower provisions during the quarter.

IDBI Bank's business performance was supported by stable growth in its lending operations. Its net advances grew 22% year-on-year to ₹2,58,968 crore, while total deposits increased 10% to ₹3,25,757 crore. Retail net advances also increased 22% year-on-year to ₹1,80,936 crore, while savings deposits grew 10% to ₹90,808 crore. The CASA ratio stood at 43.64%.

IDBI Bank also remained well-capitalised, with its total capital adequacy ratio at 26.92% and Tier 1 capital at 26.38% as of June 30, 2026.

The bank said it will focus on technology-led business acquisition, fintech partnerships for personal and education loans, improving fee income and maintaining asset quality.

On 21 July 2026, IDBI Bank shares were up by 0.46% and trading at ₹85.42 at 11:26 AM, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
