HFCL Shares Hit 5% Upper Circuit For Fifth Session, Up 338% From 52-Week Low: What Is Driving The Rally?

HFCL shares hit a 5% upper circuit at ₹262.25 on 6 October, rising 338% from their 52-week low, as Q1 profit and a record ₹26,665 crore order book support the rally.
HFCL shares locked into the 5% upper circuit at ₹262.25 on Tuesday, 6 October 2026. The stock also touched a fresh 52-week high, extending its positive streak to five sessions. From its January 2026 low of ₹59.83, the stock has now gained more than 338%.
The HFCL share price has gained 21.5% in one week, 260.5% in six months and 253% in the past year.
The rally has also widened HFCL's lead over the broader market. HFCL has climbed 245% so far in 2026, even as the Nifty 50 is down nearly 15%. The latest move comes after the company returned to profit in Q1 FY27 and reported its biggest-ever order book.
The stock's sharp rise has also brought it under LT ASM-4 surveillance. The framework is used by exchanges to monitor stocks showing abnormal price volatility, high concentration or heavy speculation.
Why Are HFCL Shares Rising?
HFCL manufactures and deploys telecommunications equipment, optical fibre cables and advanced digital network solutions.
The company returned to profit in Q1 FY27, reporting a net profit of ₹245.64 crore, compared with a net loss of ₹29.30 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue more than doubled to ₹1,914.98 crore during the quarter.
HFCL also closed the first quarter with its highest-ever order book of ₹26,665 crore. This was nearly five times its FY26 revenue and has become an important part of the growth outlook.
Separately, HFCL has extended the deadline for the proposed sale of its entire stake in Nivetti Systems Private Limited. The company had agreed to sell 217,594 equity shares in Nivetti Systems under a Share Purchase Agreement with Trinity Tech Solutions and Nivetti Systems. The transaction was initially due to close by 30 September. An addendum to the agreement was signed on 1 October, extending the completion deadline to on or before 31 December, 2026.
What Do The Technical Levels Suggest For HFCL?
The HFCL stock moved above its earlier ₹255-₹256 double-top resistance zone, according to analysts. The subsequent retest of that area attracted buying, with the zone now identified as support.
The immediate support level has shifted to ₹250-₹255. The technical view puts ₹273.30 as the first upside level, followed by ₹292.90. A higher projection is placed at ₹301.65.
HFCL's daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) was 67.88. That shows strong momentum, although the indicator had not yet moved into the extreme overbought zone mentioned in the technical assessment.
What Should Investors Watch Next?
The sharp rise has put both business performance and price movement under focus. The ₹26,665 crore order book, Q1 profitability and revenue growth remain the key company-specific numbers in the supplied context.
At the same time, LT ASM-4 surveillance adds another factor for investors tracking the stock's unusually strong price movement.
