GTPL Hathway Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Rises 19.2% To ₹1,143.06 Crore, But Consolidated Results Slip Into Loss
GTPL Hathway’s Q2 revenue growth fails to prevent a ₹3.55 crore loss as operating costs rise in the September quarter.

GTPL Hathway reported 19.2% consolidated revenue growth to ₹1,143.06 crore in Q2 FY27, but swung to a ₹3.55 crore net loss. H1 revenue rose 15.9%, but the profit turned negative for the period.

GTPL Hathway Limited reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,143.06 crore in Q2 FY27, up 19.2% from ₹959.05 crore a year earlier. But the company showed a net loss of ₹3.55 crore, while it had a net profit of ₹7.4 crore in Q2 FY26.

Total expenses increased to ₹1,150.42 crore from ₹954.39 crore, exceeding revenue growth. For H1 FY27, consolidated revenue rose 15.9% to ₹2,158.46 crore, but the company reported a net loss of ₹2.17 crore compared with a profit of ₹14.72 crore in H1 FY26.

The GTPL Hathway share price rose 3.59% to close at ₹58.81 on 13 October 2026 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The cable television business remained the largest contributor, generating ₹982.60 crore in Q2, compared with ₹802.60 crore a year earlier. However, its segment result swung to a loss of ₹9 crore from a profit of ₹7 crore last year.

Internet services revenue increased to ₹146.50 crore from ₹140.10 crore, while the segment reported a profit of ₹1.47 crore, down from ₹6.3 crore. Revenue from projects, including operations and maintenance, was ₹19.70 crore, with segment profit of ₹3.8 crore.

In H1, cable TV revenue reached ₹1,839.97 crore and internet services revenue stood at ₹289.70 crore.

The board approved the acquisition of the remaining 74% stake in DL GTPL Cabnet Private Limited for ₹8.33 crore. The transaction covers 88,800 equity shares at ₹937.50 per share and is intended to consolidate business operations. DL GTPL is expected to become a wholly owned subsidiary, with completion targeted by 31 October 2026.

GTPL Hathway also completed the acquisition of the cable television business from entities belonging to the ACT Group for ₹35.55 crore, effective 1 July 2026.

The company’s filing with the exchanges highlights a Department of Telecommunications demand of ₹975.42 crore against GTPL Hathway relating to licence fees, interest and penalties. The company considers the matter a contingent liability and has not recognised a provision, citing its legal position and ongoing proceedings. A separate ₹384.19 crore demand against subsidiary GTPL Broadband is also treated as contingent.
