Billionbrains Garage Ventures Q2 FY27 Results: Groww Parent Posts 54% YoY Profit Growth; Shares Dip Marginally
Groww’s parent company’s Q2 FY27 profit jumps 54% To ₹726 crore as revenue rises 47%

Billionbrains Garage Ventures Q2 FY27 Results: A 54% jump in net profit took Groww parent Billionbrains Garage Ventures to ₹725.60 crore in Q2 FY27. Revenue from operations followed suit. It climbed 47% year on year to ₹1,501 crore.

Billionbrains Garage Ventures, which operates the stockbroking platform Groww, reported a net profit of ₹725.60 crore for the July–September quarter of FY27. The figure was 54% higher than the ₹471 crore recorded in the same period last year.

The company’s profit, however, dipped slightly from the preceding quarter, slipping around 1%. This meant that while earnings remained well above their year-ago level, the company saw a marginal sequential decline in Q2 FY27.

Revenue from operations rose 47% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,501 crore in the July–September quarter, against ₹1,019 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. After the Q2 results were announced, Groww shares traded marginally lower, down 0.5% at ₹193 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in early trade. At 13:36, Groww shares were down 0.13% on the BSE.

The company reported a 1% sequential increase in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to ₹968 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹960 crore in the first quarter.

Its EBITDA margin also improved by 60 basis points to 64.5% from 63.9% in Q1 FY27. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit declined 1%.

Groww added 11 lakh new transacting users (NTUs) during the quarter, with activity in the primary market providing a key boost. About 42 lakh investors submitted equity initial public offering (IPO) applications through the platform, giving Groww a 22% share of total allotments.

Revenue contributions improved across most of Groww’s products, including its margin trading facility (MTF) and commodity derivatives business. Equity derivatives, however, accounted for a smaller share of total income, with the contribution falling 12.2 percentage points YoY.

The company attributed the pressure to changes in market activity following the introduction of the client-level activity framework (CAS). Groww expects the segment’s contribution to improve after the recommendations outlined in the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI’)s consultation paper are implemented.

Groww Asset Management Company’s assets under management (AUM) climbed 145% YoY to ₹7,179 crore, compared with ₹2,928 crore a year earlier. Actively managed products accounted for 57% of its AUM, up from 47% in the year-ago period.

AMC revenue more than doubled, growing 131% YoY during the quarter. Despite the strong growth in assets and revenue, the business reported a net loss of ₹8.3 crore.
