Today is the last day to buy Goldiam International shares ahead of the 10 July bonus issue record date. The 1:3 allotment will be credited to eligible shareholders by 25 July.
Goldiam International's bonus share issue is due this week, leaving investors with little time to become eligible.
The diamond jewellery exporter has set 10 July as the record date for a 1:3 bonus issue, its first in roughly 21 years. Under the T+1 settlement cycle, shares bought today are the last that will make it into demat accounts before that cutoff.
The Bonus Structure
-
Ratio: One free share for every three held as of the record date
-
Face value of bonus shares: ₹2 each
-
Total shares being issued: Nearly 4 crore
-
Total value of issue: ₹7.53 crore
-
Source of funding: Capital redemption reserves, securities premium account and free reserves
-
Bonus shares credited to accounts: By 25 July 2026
The reserves backing the issue are substantial. As of 31 March 2026, the securities premium account stood at ₹196 crore and free reserves at ₹311 crore, more than enough to comfortably cover the allotment.
Where The Stock Stands
Goldiam International shares dropped 1% to ₹421.05 on Thursday in early trade. However, the longer track record is impressive with 22% gains over one year and 227% over three years.
Year-to-date the stock is up approximately 17%. Market capitalisation sits at roughly ₹4,784 crore.
What The Numbers Look Like
The bonus comes on the back of one of the company's stronger quarters. For January to March 2026:
-
Net profit: ₹37 crore, up 61% year-on-year from ₹23 crore
-
Revenue from operations: ₹235 crore, up over 18% year-on-year
-
Full year FY26 performance described by the company as superior despite US tariff headwinds and gold price volatility
A bonus issue adds shares without changing market capitalisation, which means the price adjusts proportionately. The practical effect is lower per-share price and higher liquidity, making the stock accessible to a broader pool of buyers.
