Fino Payments Bank’s Share Price Soars Over 15% After September Business Update; Loan Referrals Surge 223%

Fino Payments Bank shares jumped 15% after its September business update showed a 223% year-on-year rise in loan referral disbursals to ₹278 crore. Average deposits and digitally active customers also grew during the month.
Fino Payments Bank shares jumped over 15% on Thursday after the bank released its business update for September 2026, showing strong growth in loan referrals and several other operating metrics.
The bank's Current Accounts and Savings Accounts (CASA) customer base increased to 1.91 crore during the month. Renewal income also rose 20% year-on-year to ₹28 crore from ₹23.3 crore in September last year.
Average total deposits increased 13% to ₹2,794 crore, while the number of digitally active customers rose 13% to 64.9 lakh.
At 11:42 AM, Fino Payments’ share price stood at ₹148.25 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), up 15.14%.
Loan Referrals Rise 223%
Fino Payments Bank's loan referral business saw the sharpest growth during the month. Loan referral disbursals jumped 223% year-on-year to ₹278 crore in September, compared with ₹86 crore in the same month last year.
FinoPay active customers also increased 12% to 8.1 lakh during the month. The bank said the increase in its CASA customer base, renewal income and loan referral disbursals continued to support its business growth.
CMS Throughput Grows 10%
The bank recorded mixed performance across its transaction businesses. Cash Management Services (CMS) throughput increased 10% year-on-year to ₹6,918 crore from ₹6,281 crore.
However, throughput in the broader transaction business fell 10% to ₹3,469 crore from ₹3,866 crore a year earlier. Deposit accounts opened during September also declined 17% year-on-year to 2.45 lakh from 2.95 lakh.
B2B UPI P2M throughput was nil during the month, compared with ₹961 crore in September 2025.
Fino Payments Bank Share Price
The sharp rise on Thursday took Fino Payments Bank's market capitalisation to around ₹1,221 crore. Despite the latest gain, the stock remains well below its 52-week high of ₹339.
Technical data from Trendlyne shows that Fino Payments Bank shares are currently trading below four of their eight key Simple Moving Averages (SMAs).
The September update showed strong growth in loan referral disbursals and renewal income, while the bank's deposit base and digitally active customer base also continued to expand.
