Blue Dart Express Q1 FY27 Results

Blue Dart Express reported a strong Q1 FY27, with net profit rising nearly 80% and revenue growing 15% year-on-year. The stock gained over 7% on Monday after the results.

Blue Dart Express was among the top gainers in Monday's trade after investors reacted positively to its June-quarter earnings. The stock climbed more than 7% during the session as the logistics company delivered a sharp improvement in profitability.

The quarter brought gains on both the revenue and earnings fronts. Revenue from operations rose to ₹1,658 crore, while net profit increased to ₹88 crore, reflecting stronger business momentum and improved operating efficiency compared with the same period last year.

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹1,658 crore (up 15.1% YoY)

  • Net Profit: ₹88 crore (up 79.6% YoY)

  • Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) Margin: 15.8% (up 220 basis points)

  • Profit Before Tax Margin: 7.2% (up from 4.6% a year ago)

  • Dividend: ₹25 per share

Blue Dart's June quarter saw the company's logistics network consistently serving customer demands while still keeping the business running on track. Operational revenue climbed to ₹1,658 crore, which was a 15.1% hike over the previous year's same quarter.

Profit grew at a much faster pace than revenue. Net profit climbed to ₹88 crore, almost 80% higher than the ₹49 crore reported a year earlier. The stronger earnings suggest that the company converted higher business volumes into better profitability during the quarter.

Operational efficiency also improved.
Blue Dart management said that its operating margins expanded as tighter cost controls and disciplined execution helped offset a challenging operating environment and rising operating expenses.

The company's integrated air and ground logistics network continued to support business growth. Ongoing investments in technology and productivity initiatives also remained part of its long-term strategy.

Managing Director Balfour Manuel said the June-quarter performance reflected consistent execution despite a demanding business environment.

"Our Q1FY27 performance reflects focused execution, disciplined network management and continued customer confidence in the Blue Dart brand. Despite a challenging operating environment and higher operating costs, we delivered strong profit growth while maintaining our commitment to reliability, speed and service excellence."

He added that the company will continue investing in operational productivity, expanding its integrated logistics network, increasing digital adoption and building sustainable capabilities to support future growth.

Blue Dart Express shares gained more than 7% during Monday's session after the quarterly earnings announcement, making it one of the stronger-performing logistics stocks of the day. The positive reaction was supported by stronger-than-expected profit growth and improving margins.

As of 1:17 PM on 3 August, the Blue Dart Express share price stood at ₹5,499.50 (up 6.57%) on the National Stock Exchange.
