Bikaji Foods Sells 30% Stake In Bikaji Bakes To Thayekunni Khaleel; Shares Rise

Snacks and sweets maker Bikaji Foods International Limited (BFIL) has sold a 30% equity stake in Bikaji Bakes Private Limited (BBPL) to Mr Thayekunni Khaleel, an industry veteran, entrepreneur and founder of renowned bakery brand Bakemart. The transaction is relatively small, valued at ₹30,000.

Following the sale, BBPL is no longer a wholly owned subsidiary of Bikaji Foods International. However, it will continue to operate under the Bikaji Foods umbrella, with the company retaining a 70% stake.

Bikaji Foods International Ltd shares rose following the announcement, trading 2.63% higher at ₹615.60 as of 2:34 pm today.

Deal Details And Financials Of Bikaji Bakes

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) filing shows that Bikaji Foods completed the sale on 26 August 2026. The agreement for the transaction was signed earlier, on 27 January 2026.

BBPL is classified as a non-material subsidiary, so its financial impact on the group’s consolidated income and net worth may remain limited.

For the financial year ended 31 March 2026, BBPL reported nil turnover and revenue, income of ₹319.83 thousand, and a negative net worth of ₹6,128.46 thousand.
