Bharat Dynamics reported a weak Q4 FY26 with net profit down 59.5% and revenue falling 73% amid slower execution.

Bharat Dynamics Limited reported weak earnings for the March quarter of FY26. Both profit and revenue fell sharply year-on-year amid slower execution during the quarter.

The state-run missile manufacturer posted a standalone net profit of ₹113.18 crore in Q4 FY26, down 59.5% from ₹272.77 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations came in at ₹480 crore, which is a 73% decline when compared to ₹1,776.98 crore reported in Q4 FY25.

Operating performance also remained under pressure. EBITDA for the quarter fell to around ₹55.2 crore, compared with nearly ₹299 crore a year ago. EBITDA margin narrowed to 11.5%, versus 16.8% in the corresponding period last year, reflecting weaker operating leverage and execution delays in deliveries.

On the National Stock Exchange, Bharat Dynamics' share price fell by around 7.03% to ₹1,192.00 at 11:59 AM on 29 May 2026.

For the full financial year FY26, Bharat Dynamics reported revenue from operations of ₹2,441.8 crore, compared with ₹3,345 crore in FY25. Annual net profit stood at ₹420.3 crore, down 23.5% from ₹549.6 crore a year earlier.

Despite the softer earnings, the company’s board recommended a final dividend of ₹0.40 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting. The payout follows BDL’s dividend distribution track record as a key defence PSU.

Investor focus is now expected to remain on execution recovery, fresh defence orders and order-book conversion over the coming quarters. Bharat Dynamics continues to remain a key beneficiary of India’s defence indigenisation push, particularly in missile systems, ammunition and strategic weapons manufacturing.
