Balkrishna Industries Q1 FY27 Results: PAT Jumps 50%, Declared ₹4 Dividend, Stock Surges 10%

Balkrishna Industries Q1 FY27 Results: Balkrishna Industries reported strong numbers for the first quarter of FY27. Net sales rose 25% from a year ago to ₹3,445 crore. Profit after tax climbed 50% to ₹432 crore. After the results, the stock gained as much as 10% during the session.

Balkrishna Industries delivered a strong set of numbers for the April to June 2026 quarter, with standalone net sales rising 25% year-on-year to ₹3,445 crore and profit after tax (PAT) jumping 50% to ₹432 crore.

Balkrishna Industries shares jumped as much as 10% to ₹2,295 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Thursday's intraday session after the company reported strong first quarter results for FY27. By the close of trade at 3:30 PM, the stock had surged 10.82% to settle at ₹2,306.90.

The stock has recovered 15% from its weekly low of ₹1,980.90 touched on 24 July 2026, though it remains below its 52-week high of ₹2,775 hit on 10 February 2026.

  • Net sales: ₹3,445 crore, up 25% year-on-year.

  • PAT: ₹432 crore, up 50% year-on-year.

  • Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) margin: 21%, down 40 basis points quarter-on-quarter.

  • OHT sales volume: 93,770 tonnes, up 16.2% year-on-year.

  • Interim dividend: ₹4 per equity share.

The Off-Highway Tyres (OHT) business contributed 90% of overall revenue during the quarter. The company said it witnessed a stable environment in Europe, while India performed exceptionally well.

Balkrishna Industries commenced supplies of Truck Bus Radial Tyres in commercial vehicles in April 2026 and has introduced select two-wheeler tyre products targeting the domestic market.

Since August 2024, the company has announced a cumulative capex outlay of ₹6,800 crore to be deployed through FY29. The investments cover OHT capacity expansion of 35,000 MTPA supported by continuous debottlenecking, taking total OHT tyre capacity to 425,000 MTPA and targeting an 8% global market share.

Captive carbon black capacity is being scaled to 360,000 MTPA by Q1 FY27. The company is also investing in AI-enabled automation for its on-highway business and sustainability initiatives. The on-highway tyre business is targeted to contribute 20% of overall revenues by FY30, up from a smaller base currently.
