Bajaj Finance Seeks Shareholder Approval
The company will seek shareholder approval for the QIP by convening an extraordinary general meeting (EGM). Bajaj Finance has historically raised capital every 2.5 to three years to fund immediate growth.
The Bajaj Finance warrants are intended to help Bajaj Finserv maintain its 51.30% stake in the company.
The size of the proposed Bajaj Finance capital raise can be compared with its loan book, which is above ₹5 lakh crore. Assuming the company uses leverage of five to six times, the fundraising could support more than ₹1 lakh crore in additional capital deployment.
