3M India Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: 3M India reported a rise in June quarter net profit, significantly aided by an exceptional gain from the sale of land in Pune, even as underlying operating performance weakened due to rupee depreciation. Revenue growth was broad-based across all four business segments during the quarter.
3M India Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: 3M India reported a 31.2% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 233 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 178 crore a year ago. The bottom line, however, received a significant boost from an exceptional gain on the sale of land.
Revenue from operations rose 19% year-on-year to Rs 1,423 crore, compared with Rs 1,196 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, marking the company's fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit sales growth.
At the operating level, growth was less pronounced. EBITDA was broadly flat at Rs 238 crore, against Rs 241 crore a year ago, while EBITDA margin contracted to 16.7% from 20%.
During the quarter, 3M India sold its land in Pimpri, Pune, under a conveyance deed executed on June 29, 2026, for a total consideration of Rs 82 crore. The company reported a net gain of Rs 73.13 crore from the transaction as an exceptional item. Excluding the exceptional gain, profitability declined year-on-year, with the company attributing the pressure primarily to the depreciation of the Indian rupee.
Business Performance
Sales growth was broad-based across businesses, with all four segments recording growth. Healthcare led the expansion with 23.5% year-on-year sales growth, while Safety & Industrial sales increased 23%. Transportation & Electronics grew 14.4%, and Consumer sales rose 13.4%. The company attributed the performance to investments in sales and marketing, along with continued execution across its businesses.
For FY26, the board had recommended a total dividend of Rs 506 per equity share at its meeting on May 22, 2026. The proposed payout comprises a final dividend of Rs 160 per share and a special dividend of Rs 346 per share, subject to shareholders' approval at the company's ensuing Annual General Meeting.
