Sterling And Wilson Renewable Energy Shares Jump 8% On Securing Over ₹985-Crore Orders

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy shares rose nearly 8% after the company won orders worth more than ₹985 crore in India and South Africa. The contracts cover a 534.3 MWp Rajasthan solar project and 616 MWh of battery storage capacity.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy shares rose nearly 8% on Tuesday after the company announced domestic and overseas orders worth more than ₹985 crore.
The stock touched an intraday high of ₹186.66 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) following the order announcement.
The company has won a 534.3 MWp solar project in Rajasthan from a leading Indian independent power producer (IPP). It has also secured two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in South Africa with a combined storage capacity of 616 MWh.
As of 10:48 AM, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy share price stood at ₹180.44 at the NSE, up 4.27%.
Rajasthan Project Involves Solar BOS Package
The Rajasthan order involves the Balance of System (BOS) package for the solar project.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy said the order came from a new customer. The company expects the project to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 0.80 million tonnes after commissioning.
The second order covers two BESS projects in South Africa and has been awarded by a Middle East-based renewable energy developer.
South Africa Order Covers Two BESS Projects
The South African contract is a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) wrap project covering battery energy storage systems with a total capacity of 616 MWh.
The company said the customer is an existing client. It added that the project will be its second-largest utility-scale BESS project to date.
Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, said the two orders reflect continued customer confidence in the company's project execution and technical capabilities.

Despite Tuesday's rise, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy shares have remained under pressure over a longer period.
The stock has fallen 4.53% over the past month and 14.67% so far in 2026. Over the last year, the shares had fallen 30.85%. The decline stands at 48.88% over three years and 50.49% over five years.
The latest orders add more than ₹985 crore to the company's project pipeline across solar and battery storage, with work spread across India and South Africa.
