MapmyIndia has teamed up with Mumbai Metro to add Aqua Line routes, fares, and train timings to its Mappls App. Read more about what commuters can expect.
MapmyIndia has signed an agreement with Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) to bring Aqua Line information to its Mappls App. The integration is expected to reach more than 45 million app users, giving them access to metro routes, fares, train frequencies and station details.
The agreement was announced on 14 October 2026, after the two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Commuters will be able to check key metro details while planning a journey, rather than looking for this information separately.
MapmyIndia’s parent company, CE Info Systems Ltd shares rose over 2% intraday on Wednesday. At 11:25 AM, it was trading 0.69% up at ₹923.10.
What Information Will Commuters Get?
The initial rollout will cover Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line. Users will be able to locate stations, check fares and train frequencies, and explore routes through the app. The MapmyIndia Mumbai Metro partnership brings the metro corporation’s official information together with MapmyIndia’s mapping and navigation technology.
Station details will include geotagged locations and facilities such as parking for cars and two-wheelers. The app will also show metro lines, changes between lines, and the number of stations and lines in the network.
These additions are intended to help people plan trips from their starting point to their destination. For instance, the Mumbai Metro Aqua Line real-time data will give commuters a single place to check important travel details before setting out.
The companies have not specified a launch date for the integration in their announcement.
What Have The Companies Said?
R. Ramana, Director (Planning & Real Estate/NFBR) at MMRCL, said the initiative was part of the corporation’s efforts to make metro travel more accessible and convenient. He noted that the app integration would help commuters navigate the network and plan their journeys more effectively.
Rohan Verma, Joint Managing Director of MapmyIndia Mappls, said the collaboration would make official metro information easier to access for Mumbai residents and visitors. He described the app as a guide for people looking to plan their metro trips.
The Mappls App metro routes and fares feature is the first step in this collaboration, with the Aqua Line at the centre of the initial integration. By combining official metro information with digital maps, the two organisations aim to make journey planning simpler for daily commuters and visitors to the city.
