Infosys has expanded its Indore Development Centre with a new 330,000-square-foot software development block. The facility will strengthen capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity and digital services.
Infosys Limited has expanded its Indore Development Centre with the inauguration of a new Software Development Block (SDB-2) at its campus in the Super Corridor, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The new block covers 330,000 square feet and is intended to strengthen the company’s presence in Central India while supporting the region’s technology and talent ecosystem.
The announcement was made on 16 September 2026. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, Indore Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani and Member of Legislative Assembly Manoj Nirbhay Singh Patel, along with Infosys and state government officials.
Infosys shares are likely to be in focus as investors assess the company's latest expansion of its Indore Development Centre. On 16 September 2026, Infosys stock price ended the day at ₹1,060 on the National Stock Exchange.
How Will The New Infosys Facility Strengthen Its Services?
The expanded centre will support Infosys’ capabilities in cloud, application development, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, cybersecurity and next-generation digital services.
Infosys said the expansion will help it address changing client requirements and tap into Central India’s growing pool of technology talent.
The company also plans to deepen its engagement with Madhya Pradesh’s academic and technology ecosystem through skilling programmes and institutional partnerships involving IIT Indore, IIM Indore and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
How Large Is Infosys’ Presence In Indore?
Infosys Indore currently has more than 3,300 employees supporting global clients across banking, financial services and insurance, retail, life sciences and manufacturing.
The company said the expansion reflects its continued investment in talent, innovation and digital capabilities in the region. Infosys Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka said the new facility would help strengthen AI, cloud and digital technology capabilities while creating high-quality employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
The new building has been designed in line with Infosys’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments and high-performance green building standards.
Its features include low-energy cooling, smart building automation, rainwater harvesting and wastewater recycling. The facility also includes flexible workstations, training facilities and wellness centres.
The Indore expansion adds capacity to Infosys’ Central India operations and supports its focus on newer technologies, while also strengthening its regional talent pipeline.
