Benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, traded in a narrow range in the late morning trade. Investors kept a close eye on the inflation outlook and rise in crude oil prices. At 11:03 am, the Sensex was up 0.066%. At the same time, the Nifty 50 was down 0.019%.

Broader markets were largely flat, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 trading 0.02% and 0.07% higher, respectively.

At around 11:05 am, the top five stocks on the Nifty 50 index were:

  • Nestle India Ltd.

  • Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

  • Coal India Ltd.

  • Infosys Ltd.

  • Tata Consumer Products Ltd.

  • Tata Elxsi shares gained up to 7% after the company reported a 10% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit for Q2 FY27.

  • Hero Motors shares jumped nearly 8% after the company registered more than a 115% YoY increase in its net consolidated profit for Q2 FY27.

  • Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers slipped nearly 6% despite the company reporting a 50% YoY jump in its net consolidated profit for Q2 FY27.

The following companies will release their Q2 results today:

  • Bajaj Consumer Care

  • Bharat Heavy Electricals

  • Canara Bank

  • CEAT

  • Elecon Engineering Company

  • Emmvee Photovoltaic Power

  • Tata Technologies

Markets are likely to remain range-bound with a negative bias in the remaining session, as investors track movements in crude oil prices and assess the inflation outlook for cues on interest rates and corporate earnings. While stock-specific action following Q2 FY27 results could offer pockets of support, weakness in the broader market could mean risk appetite remains subdued.
