The Sensex and the Nifty 50 traded mixed in the afternoon trade. At 11: 46 am, the Sensex was up 0.12%, while the Nifty 50 was down 0.12%.
Broader markets, however, were positive. At 11:48 am, the Nifty Midcap 100 was up 0.21%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 was up 0.82% at the same time. On the global front, oil prices tumbled on fresh hopes of reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
