HDFC Life Q4FY26: Profit Rises 4% To ₹496 Crore; Dividend Of ₹2.10 Declared

HDFC Life reported a 4% rise in standalone PAT to ₹496 crore in Q4FY26, with net premium income up ~9% YoY. The board declared a final dividend of ₹2.10 per share.

HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a 4% rise in standalone profit after tax for the March quarter of FY26.

The company's standalone PAT came in at ₹495.65 crore, up from ₹476.54 crore in the same quarter last year. On a consolidated basis, net profit stood at ₹497 crore, up 4.7% from ₹475 crore in Q4FY25. Net premium income rose 9% YoY to ₹25,998 crore, compared to ₹23,998 crore in the year-ago period.

New business additions were consistent through the quarter, with APE growth of 8% YoY translating into a two-year CAGR of 12%.

The board approved a preferential allotment of 1,45,23,906 equity shares at ₹688.52 per share to promoter HDFC Bank, aggregating to ₹1,000 crore, to shore up its capital base.

Niraj Shah was re-appointed as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer with effect from 26 April 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting (AGM) and clearance from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

The board recommended a final dividend of ₹2.10 per equity share of face value ₹10 for FY26. The AGM is scheduled for 16 July 2026, via video conferencing. The record date is 19 June 2026.

“The payment of the final dividend will be made on or after July 20, 2026, subject to deduction of tax at source at the applicable rate," they said.

Shares of HDFC Life ended 1.50% lower at ₹630.50 on the NSE on Thursday. The stock had been up 1% earlier in the session ahead of the results.
