Though the Sensex and Nifty pared morning losses to some extent, they closed the day in the red. At the close, the:

Broader markets also declined, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 ending the day 0.99% and 0.81% lower, respectively. Sector-wise, the Nifty FMCG, Nifty Auto and Nifty Chemicals underperformed. On the other hand, the Nifty Pharma and Nifty Healthcare outperformed (see table).

Crude Oil Prices Today
Crude prices rose again on Tuesday, with concerns over the impact of the US-Iran conflict on Middle East oil supplies outweighing indications of a pickup in crude exports from the region. At around 15:37, Brent crude December futures stood at $97.39 per barrel. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude November futures stood at $92.28 per barrel.
Gold And Silver Prices Today
Gold and silver traded lower on the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX). At 15:38, MCX gold October 2026 futures stood at ₹1,46,662 per 10 grams, down 0.10%. At the same time, MCX silver December 2026 futures stood at ₹2,25,850 per kg, down 0.70%.
