Torrent Gas Likely To File Fresh IPO Papers For Rs 4,000 Crore Issue This Week
Torrent Gas plans to file IPO papers for a ₹4,000 crore issue amid rising market activity.

Torrent Gas, part of the Torrent Group, is reportedly set to file its updated IPO prospectus this week for an issue of up to Rs 4,000 crore, as India's primary market activity picks up pace.

Torrent Gas is expected to file its updated draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) for an initial public offering of up to Rs 4,000 crore as early as this week, Moneycontrol reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Part of the Ahmedabad-based Torrent Group, the company supplies piped natural gas (PNG) to households and industries across eight states and one union territory. Torrent Group's other listed businesses include Torrent Power and Torrent Pharma. According to its website, Torrent Gas serves more than 200,000 households and over 1,300 industrial consumers, and operates nearly 500 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations across the country.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) cleared Torrent Gas' confidential IPO filing in June. The expected filing of the updated DRHP this week would mark the company's first publicly disclosed IPO document.

Under the confidential filing route, companies can submit draft IPO papers to the regulator for review without making them public until they decide to proceed with the listing.

Torrent Gas had not responded to a request for comment on its IPO plans at the time of publication.

The development comes as India's primary market regains momentum after a slow start to the year, when elevated crude oil prices linked to the Iran conflict weighed on investor sentiment.

Since July, 27 companies have either launched or announced IPOs, bringing the number closer to the 28 issues seen in the first half of 2026.
