Madhya Pradesh-based contract development and manufacturing organisation Symbiotec Pharmalab will open its initial public (IPO) offering for subscription on 24 August, with the price band fixed at ₹938 to ₹988 per share.

The issue closes on 27 August, and the anchor book opens on 21 August. At the upper end of the price band, the company is valued at ₹6,348.5 crore.

Symbiotec Pharmalab IPO comprises a fresh issue of ₹150 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to ₹1,607 crore by existing shareholders, taking the total issue size to ₹1,757 crore.

JM Financial, Avendus Capital, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities India are the book-running lead managers for the IPO.

Here are key details of the Symbiotec Pharmalab IPO:

  • Subscription window: 24 to 27 August

  • Allotment finalisation: 28 August

  • Listing on stock exchanges: 01 September

  • Employee reservation: ₹3 crore worth of shares at a discount of ₹90 per share

Most of the fresh issue proceeds, around ₹112.5 crore, will go towards repaying part of the company’s debt. Symbiotec had total borrowings of ₹349.7 crore as of March 2026.

The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes. Money raised through the OFS will go to the existing shareholders selling their shares.

Symbiotec Pharmalab operates as a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) for speciality pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies globally across three platforms: organic chemistry, biotechnology and complex injectables. It also manufactures its own products across three segments.

It operates two active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing facilities with a chemical synthesis capacity of 584.67 metric tonnes and fermentation capacity of 300 kilolitres, with two additional facilities commissioned at Ujjain and Mhow in Madhya Pradesh and a proposed 14 kilolitre biologics fermentation expansion at Ujjain.

On the financial front, Symbiotec Pharmalab reported a profit of ₹109.9 crore for FY26. This was 13.6% higher than the ₹96.8 crore profit recorded in the previous financial year.

Revenue also rose during the year. It increased 15.6% to ₹869.1 crore from ₹751.6 crore in FY25.
